I love furniture, simply because it exemplifies ones creativity and attitude of the designer plus the skills of the maker. Every since I was in grade school I wonder and marvel how furniture’s are made with its specific details. One of my visits in Cebu was a blessing. I had an acquaintance with one of the owner’s friend of a furniture industry. To make it short I had a tour in a furniture company  -“Lamisa ug Aparador“  which means Tables and cabinets .
Lamisa ug Aparador (LuA) has been operating for about more than a quarter century. They are engaged in manufacturing and export of fine quality furniture. Their product standards are based on quality, superiority and excellence. Now I know why Cebu is one of the leading furniture industries if not in the world but perhaps in Asia competing against China and the rest of Asian countries.

LuA services includes, custom built furniture, tables for home of office, reception counters, cabinets, closets, chests, media cabinets, restaurant & cafe furniture, and built in units. They had projects for Golden Prince Hotel, Collinwood Subdivison, Big Foot Entertainment, Lancaster Suites, Laneventure, Exequiel Robles, and Sta. Lucia.

During my visit at LuA, what  really amazed me was the excellent relationship among the workers, their staffs and their bosses. I guessed this is one of the many factors why LuA made such a good impression on me. And I think that what makes a company successful too, people oriented based on the values of trust and commitment.
